Great place to eat and watch the world go by
Went to this cafe with a friend last week and we both had a great meal. I had the goats cheese salad which arrived with a very healthy portion of cheese and a beautifully presented salad. They were happy to swap the homemade coleslaw for a caramalised onion relish without any problem. My friend had a panini and it looked delicious. We sat in the window seats which was a great place to watch the world go by. Lovely way to spend time. I have eaten at the sister cafe in Wirksworth too and that was equally as good.

Award winning coffee shop in the heart of Matlock.
Peli Deli is a bustling, family run, family friendly business. At the moment there are two cafes, one in Crown Square, Matlock and another in Wirksworth.
They serve an excellent range of drinks, soups, salads, sandwiches and paninis, all using local, good quality ingredients. I ordered a cappuccino and a goat's cheese, salad and fire roasted tomato sauce sandwich and both were absolutely lovely.
It's great to find a place that makes such good coffee. I ordered a small sandwich and when it arrived it was huge, with a substantial side salad. The seeded bread was perfect and was stuffed with lots and lots of yummy goats cheese, grated carrot, salad and a delicious sauce. Prices are very reasonable indeed and the service was excellent.
