Wirksworth Festival has a vacancy for Festival Manager following the departure of current manager Alison Foote.
Alison was originally a volunteer board member who helped to develop the initial business plan when the Festival was first offered Arts Council funding in 2007 and has helped to deliver an ambitious programme of increased quality, reach and impact.
The programme for the 2012 Festival is being finalised and the new manager is expected to take control from July.
The Festival organisers have recently confirmed a three year funding agreement with Arts Council, which will support the Festival programme and allow secure long term planning.
A spokesman for the festival said, "The board want to celebrate her achievement and express our thanks for all the effort she has put in. We wish Alison every success with her professional career and hope that this year, at last, she can fully enjoy the Festival without having to make sure everything runs smoothly!"
The new Festival Manager will coordinate the planning and delivery of the festival, helping to shape the artistic programme and developing a strong marketing campaign. They will manage all operational aspects of the festival including finances, HR, and office management. The successful applicant will have at least three years experience of arts project management, with a proven track record in community engagement.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 24th of May 2012. For further details visit the Wirksworth Festival website.
